The nursery regularly undertakes a variety of special events. Check out this page to see what we have been doing recently. Our Sponsored Walk On a warm summers day in July the nursery set off for a mile long walk of the site. Babies, Toddlers and pre-schoolers all set off up the driveway accompanied by staff, parents and grandparents to raise money for Barnado,s, EACH and The Hyperinsulimism. We were also accompanied by Alfie (one of our younger children) who was raising money for Help the Heroes. A great day was had by all with a lovely picnic afterwards. The Police came to VisitThe children have been visited on several occasions recently by our local police officer. He has discussed safety and what police do with the children as well as bringing the police van. Take a look at them exploring this experience [Click Here]. Our Unusual VisitorDuring April 2008 the pre-school children had been discussing their pets with staff. Mini thought she would bring her rather unusual pet to visit the children at nursery. So one sunny Friday morning Monty an Australian Carpet Python came to visit. The children really enjoyed the visitor and many held him why don't you have a look at our photos [Click Here]. World Book Day 2008Here at Birch Farm we believe in encouraging children to enjoy books from an early age. We have a large amount of books on site and also borrow from our local library. In order to support our love of books we held a dress up day to support the World Book day campaign [Click Here] to see the fun we had.
