Service Description
Summer Solstice Flower Crown Workshop with Victoria Rose Florals Join us at Birch Farm Flowers Manchester on Sunday 21st June at 11am for a very special flower crown workshop celebrating light, abundance and the height of the growing season. Hosted at Birch Farm in collaboration with Victoria Rose Florals, a local Manchester based, sustainable florist who works exclusively with British grown flowers, this workshop is an invitation to slow down and immerse yourself in the farm at its midsummer peak. You’ll begin by wandering the flower beds, taking time to notice what’s growing and cutting your own selection of seasonal blooms and foliage. From there, you’ll be gently guided through the process of creating your own flower crown. There will be plenty of opportunities to pause along the way, to sit, breathe, enjoy the peace of the space and the surrounding nature. This is unhurried, mindful creativity, whether you come along for some quiet time to yourself or to share a relaxed and meaningful experience with good friends. Why the Summer Solstice? The Summer Solstice has long been marked as a sacred turning point in the year the longest day, when the sun is at its highest and the land is overflowing with life. In pagan traditions, it was a time of celebration and gratitude, honouring the fullness of nature before the gentle turn towards autumn. Flower crowns were traditionally worn as symbols of abundance, protection and connection to the natural world, a way of carrying the season with you. Making one at the solstice feels like a small, thoughtful ritual: pausing to notice what is flourishing, both around us and within. What’s included: All flowers and materials to create your flower crown The chance to wander the flower beds and cut your own blooms Expert, gentle guidance from Victoria Rose Florals Refreshments throughout the workshop A glass or two of something cold and bubbly (with non-alcoholic options available) Nibbles and homemade cake

We do not accept any responsibility for damage to vehicles caused whilst visiting the property. Allergies - We serve homemade cakes at the event- so please advise us of any allergies in advance. General Information- We recommend wearing flat, sturdy, waterproof shoes when visiting the farm. As most events involve being outside or in the barns it is recommended that you wear several layers and bring a waterproof coat. During July and August there may be the odd mosquito, so if you are susceptible to insect bites, it might be best to cover arms and legs and bring some insect repellent (although we always have some at hand because they love to bite me!)
