Sustainable Eco Friendly Dried Wedding Flowers

If you’re dreaming of wedding flowers that are timeless, natural, and gentle on the planet, dried flowers might just be the perfect fit. At Birch Farm, we grow and dry every flower ourselves, right here on our small flower farm in the northwest of England. That means our dried wedding flowers are fully sustainable, 100% British-grown, free from chemicals, dyes, or imports, just pure, seasonal beauty, carefully harvested and preserved by hand.

Whether you’re planning an intimate elopement, a rustic barn celebration or a relaxed, stylish ceremony, dried flowers offer something truly special – a lasting reminder of your day, created with care and thoughtfulness from start to finish.

Why Choose Our Sustainable Dried Flowers for Your Wedding?

Dried flowers have become increasingly popular in recent years, and it's easy to see why. Beyond their soft colours and delicate textures, there’s a quiet practicality and a gentle eco-consciousness to them that really resonates with many modern couples.

Here are some of the reasons we think dried flowers make a beautiful choice for your wedding day:

They last

Dried flowers won’t wilt or bruise, no matter how warm the day or how long the ceremony runs. They hold their shape and beauty from morning to night – and for many, many days after. Most couples choose to keep their bouquet as a memento, or reuse the arrangements at home or in their garden shed or studio.

They’re sustainable

All our flowers are grown here at Birch Farm – without chemicals, synthetic fertilisers, or dyes. We dry them in our old barns using nothing more than air, darkness, and time. No machines or treatments, just nature doing its thing. Plus, there’s no need for refrigerated vans or long-haul imports. It’s about as low-impact and local as wedding flowers can be.

They’re flexible and fuss-free

Dried flowers can be made well in advance of your wedding, ideal if you’re travelling, getting married at a busy time of year, or just want to tick one more thing off your list. They’re also easy to transport, light to carry, and can be delivered well ahead of time, so you don’t need to worry about last minute logistics.

They’re full of texture and character

Dried flowers have a gentle, ethereal beauty that fresh flowers sometimes lack, all soft papery petals, rustling grasses, sculptural seed heads, and delicate tones that shift and mellow over time. If you love things that feel real and a little wild, you’ll love dried.

Grown and Dried on the Farm

Every single stem we use in our wedding work is grown, picked, and dried here at Birch Farm. We grow a wide range of flowers and foliage especially for drying, from strawflowers, statice, and achillea to nigella pods, honesty, grasses, and aromatic herbs like lavender and mint. Each variety is chosen for its colour, texture, or structure once dried.

Once harvested, the flowers are hung in bundles in our old wooden barns, where they dry naturally over time. We don’t use any preservatives, dyes, or chemical sprays, just the age-old method of darkness, stillness, and patience. It's a slower way to work, but it results in arrangements that are beautifully natural, truly seasonal, and unique to our farm.

What We Offer

We offer a simple, thoughtful range of dried wedding flowers that you can order online for delivery across the UK or arrange locally if you're planning a wedding here in the northwest. Whether you’re looking for just a bouquet and buttonholes or a full set of centrepieces too, we can help. We grow and dry a range of colours so can usually create to a broad colour palette.

Dried Bridal Bouquets

Our bridal bouquets are hand-tied using a soft, romantic mix of dried flowers, grasses, and seed heads. Every bouquet is slightly different, depending on the season and what we have available, but they’re always soft, textural, and naturally beautiful. We finish them with undyed natural ribbon or twine for a simple, rustic look.

Buttonholes

Full of detail, our dried buttonholes are carefully designed to complement the bouquet. They come ready to wear and can be delivered well ahead of the big day. They’re also great for preserving afterwards, many couples frame them as a little reminder of the day.

Table Centrepieces

If you’d like to bring the look of dried flowers into your reception space, we can create small table arrangements using jars, bottles, or ceramic bowls. These work beautifully on long banquet tables or dotted through a more informal setup. Best of all, they’ll last well beyond the wedding day – many couples gift them to guests or use them to decorate their home afterwards.

UK Delivery & Local Weddings

We offer nationwide postal delivery for all of our dried wedding flowers, carefully packed so they arrive safely and ready to go. Because they’re dried and long-lasting, we can send them in plenty of time, helping you avoid any last minute stress.

If you’re planning a local wedding in the Manchester or Cheshire area, we’re happy to offer a more bespoke service. You’re welcome to collect your flowers from the farm or get in touch to discuss something a little more tailored – we’re always happy to help if we can.

A Natural, Meaningful Choice

Dried flowers offer something that goes beyond beauty, they carry a story. From the soil where they grew to the hands that picked and arranged them, each bouquet is a little expression of time, care, and connection to the land.

If you’re planning a wedding that values thoughtfulness, sustainability, and simple natural beauty, we’d love to help. You can browse our dried wedding flowers online, or get in touch to chat about something bespoke.
